Have you ever seen a crystal clear lake on a perfectly calm day?
It is an amazingly beautiful sight.
The landscape reflects in the water like a mirror.
Now, imagine a small sailboat in the middle of that lake.
No wind.
That is how I feel right now.
I am sad to see Fred Thompson quit the race.
He is a good, honest man.
He ran a campaign of integrity and honor.
He was the best candidate, but because he refused to play by the made up rules of the media, our country is in danger.
Since when, do we, the people, allow such a biased enterprise to determine the future of our country?
Especially those of us that consider ourselves Conservative Christians?
The only critique I have heard – is he had no fire in the belly, something the media determined is essential to running a country on the brink of nuclear war.
Those of us who really believed in Fred, never got the chance to let him know with our vote.
He gave us hope for a better America.
I guess it is beacause I am a Reaganite - I see the country in Red-White-Blue
Now, the colors have been washed out faded... to pink and green.
Now, we have to look at the options we have left.
It is not pretty.
Me? I am going to pray… I know that God is in control.
Maybe he’ll send a nice refreshing breeze my way, again.
God Bless you Fred and Gerri Thompson and your beautiful family.
