Back to the Issues!

Christmas is over, the New Year on the horizon... time to get back to the issues!!

I grew up in southern California, and back in the 70's, the immigration issue was evident.

I was emailed these stats today...obvious results of Los Angelels 'doing nothing' or worse as you will see below - 'catering to the mexican illegal status", creating programs to help them...

If this doesn't open your eyes nothing will!

1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.
(There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County. )

(All 10 of the above are from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.
Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida , and New York) results from immigration.
29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.
We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Get educated on this issue. As we are approaching the presidential election - study the candidates and begin supporting the one who has a strong plan to battle this epidemic.

Our borders need to be secured NOW!! No amnesty.

Send copies of this letter to at least two other people . 100 would be even better.

As many of you know our choice for President: www.fred08.com Don't listen to the media with regards to polls - Fred is doing a great job on the teail in Iowa and I believe once the people decide - He will arise form the shadows of the pretty boys.

Happy New Year

Minnesota Pro-Life Group Issues Endorsement for Republican Fred Thompson

Minneapolis, MN (LifeNews.com) -- A statewide pro-life organization in Minnesota is the latest to issue an endorsement for Republican presidential hopeful Fred Thompson. The former Tennessee senator is one of several pro-life candidates on the GOP side but he's racked up the most official endorsements from pro-life groups.

Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life is the latest to back Thompson's candidacy and its endorsement follows on the heels of those from pro-life groups in South Carolina, Wyoming, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and New York.

MCCL executive director Scott Fischbach told LifeNews.com that, “His record and his positions on issues affecting life have earned Thompson our support for president."

The organization says Thompson has had a strong, consistent pro-life record throughout his political career.

It highlighted how Thompson opposes the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that allowed virtually unlimited abortion and wants it reversed.

"During his eight years in the United States Senate, Thompson always opposed using tax dollars to promote or pay for abortion and supported the many pro-life measures such as parental notice and consent," the organization added.

MCCL also appreciates that Thompson is on record as opposing embryonic stem cell research and human cloning but promoting ethical alternatives that don't involve the destruction of human life.

Fischbach said his group's endorsement follows National Right to Life, which backed Thompson in November.

Looking at endorsements from other statewide pro-life groups, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee has the backing of Georgia Right to Life and Michigan Chooses Life.

Iran - no nukes? ya...right!!!!

If you believe the reports out that Iran has stopped their production of nuclear weapons, well... I have a nice piece of land in the Mohave desert for sale...

John O'Connor writes that Fred Thompson said it is unlikely the United States can ever trust Iran, and he doubts a recently released intelligence assessment that says Iran has halted its nuclear weapons program.

Thompson told a crowd of more than 150 packed into Lexington's Flight Deck restaurant that the report has been politicized. Afterward, Thompson said he doubted the U.S. could negotiate with Iran, as the report concluded.

"That depends on Iran," Thompson said. "But there's nothing in their history to indicate that they are prepared to renounce any future nuclear weapons programs. We have to deal with the reality that we're confronted with."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank the Lord, that Fred Thompson understands the reality that evil exists. I applaud him for speaking up in truth. I feel confident in the support we are putting forth for Fred to be our next President.

THE HIGH ROAD

Fred was professional as ever last night.

CNN's attempt at a professional debate fell flat - beginning with the hokey song that started things off. The YouTube format was an attempt to appease the younger generation. With over 5000 entries, the choices CNN made were ridiculous. It seemed they were more interested in shock and awe, then in true discussion on important issues.

Topping that were the intentional planting of Brig. Gen Kerr. We knew as soon as he stood to talk, that he was planted to stir things up, little did CNN realize that it would backfire as it has. Their insistence that they did not have any idea who he was - only to find out he was part of the Clinton G&L Steering Committee?? Pathetic.

Thankfully Fred escaped the dog and pony show that other candidates fell into. The childish bickering, personal attacks and finger pointing were unbecoming to these men who want to lead our country. The spinning was out of control, I am still confused of the stance of the front runners.

Fred answered with wisdom and authority any and all questions that were asked of him. He did not fall into the juvenile backyard bashing the other candidates did.

He is refreshingly real. Each time he talks, I feel like he is doing just that - talking! To us, not down to us. He is not phony or canned. He is professional and sure of himself. Much like Reagan, Fred's calm demeanor brings assurance that he believes what he says, which brings hope to those he serves that he will follow up on what he promises

Trust will always trump hype.

Fred is true to who he is. It is becoming more evident that he will pull out in front of the pack and win the nomination to surely defeat Hilary.

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh today... and although he will not "officially" endorse a candidate until after the prelims... here is what he said after the debate last night.

"There was one candidate who did not display any moderateness or liberalism or have any of his past forays into those areas displayed, and that candidate was Fred Thompson."

Minnesota is for FRED!!

Great news!!

StarTribune today reported:
Nov 16, 2007

Thompson rallies Minnesota backers

Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson has lined up a slate of Minnesota supporters, headed by House Minority Leader Marty Seifert. Thompson is the fourth GOP candidate to snare the backing of some party bigwigs, following the lead of John McCain, Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney.

Seifert, a Republican from Marshall, squired the former Tennessee senator around the Minnesota State Fair when Thompson made his only campaign visit to the state so far. Eleven other Minnesotans -- officeholders and party activists among them -- are members of Thompson's state steering committee.

Who we are supporting in the race to be President of the United States in 2008.?

Fred Thompson

The journey began the day I heard Fred @ the Minnesota Fair, before a small but curious crowd, unsure if he would even run this race - which he has now thrown his hat into- That day he made a statement, saying that He would never apologize for America as a nation, that he is proud to be an American.

I believe the President must love the country HE serves, I believe Fred Thompson is a true patriot.

His stance on many issues echo our own beliefs - unlike many of the other candidates - who seem to waffle under the slightest pressure - I like to call it the Oprah Syndrome - say or do anything to please the viewers… From what I have seen so far - Fred zips up the front and He does not ask permission to do so…

Recently Fred spoke at the Iowa GOP Reagan Day Dinner in Des Moines. He received a warm welcome and his consistent conservative message clearly resonated among Iowans in attendence. Here is a quote from his speech from the Des Moines Register.

I was conservative yesterday, my friends. I am conservative today. And I will be a conservative tomorrow,” said Thompson, “and that is exactly how I will govern as president of the United States.”

Above all else, I feel our national security is one of the foremost issues - without security of our borders and across the nation, we leave ourselves open to imminent attacks. This is not a time for this country to fall short on the already approved plan to secure the borders. Fred is the only candidate that I feel will take charge and finish the job already set in motion.

http://www.fred08.com/FredCast/FredCastSummary.aspx#Fred is 100% Pro-LIFE which is vital for our family, we stand on the foundations of the inspired word of God, anything short of pro-life is an abomination of God’s word.

Fred is our choice - who will you choose to run the race with?
